Onni {noun} /’on-ni/ means “happiness”
in Finnish - a calm, inner joy focused on simply being rather than doing.

Onni Counselling is rooted in my dedication to give back to the community I cherish. While life in a rural mountain town is full of adventure, it also presents unique challenges that can feel isolating and overwhelming. We don’t have to suffer alone. My aim is to provide tailored support that empowers individuals, organizations, and the broader community to navigate challenges and foster resilience.

RCC (Registered Clinical Counsellor) | MACP

Hello and welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here. My path to becoming a Registered Clinical Counsellor wasn’t a straight line—it was more of a winding trail with its share of stumbles and summit smiles. Growing up in a sports and feats of strength focused family, I initially pursued a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion followed by a Bachelor’s in Sport Science and Recreation, all while balancing my true passion for playing soccer. But it wasn’t until I sought mental health support myself that I experienced the profound power of a safe judgement free space—and began to understand my own humanness and enough'ness beyond my athletic identity.

A weekend visit to Revelstoke eight years ago quickly became my permanent home. My commitment to giving back to this incredible community, coupled with my profound sense of purpose in supporting others, inspired me to pursue a master’s in Counselling and Psychology.

In my practice, authenticity and connection are my guiding principles. Whether we’re working one-on-one or strengthening resilience in the workplace, my goal is to create a space where people feel safe to explore, grow in self-compassion, and build meaningful connections. We don’t have to feel isolated in our struggles.

Outside the office, you’ll often find me exploring the outdoors or tapping into my creativity through doodling and crafting—nurturing parts of me beyond the 'athlete' and finding fulfillment in new ways.
